Wisdom

“Strengthen your argument and not your voice.”
I'm reading the
Cato Handbook on Policy(Link) and am about 70 pages in. It's hard to get these facts down considering there's around 700 pages to understand. Memorizing even half of the facts and arguements is a feat in itself, the whole book would be just as hard as the seven days. Well, you get the idea. Ideally I hope to educate my family, although I've lost some respect for some, and have them appreciate all of this.
It's sort of like a scenario in the fable The Alchemist where the alchemist asked some stranger if he wanted the secret to longevity. Hearing this the stranger laughed and rejected the offer. The alchemist told the main character that people won't accept the truth even though it's right there before them. However, since this is a fable the whole longetivity thing is not true, but it's the basic idea that if the truth is in front of them people have trouble seeing it. I feel what I know is the truth. I've been searching for my whole high school life and I'm sure other people say the same with their own beliefs, but the difference is that they delve too deeply into it and won't allow themselves to think more open-mindedly. I'm happy thinking I know what will happen after I die so I'll concentrate from now on to give as much as I can to the world. Not like Jehova's Witnesses by travelling door to door, that's vain. I'm not sure what the plan is for the future, but I'll work for it.

I'm listening to the song, GZA - B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Intstructions Before Leaving Earth)

Evergrowing self-actualization.
